PairaBond is a couples relationship coaching application. Because you share deeply personal information with us — about yourself, your relationship, and your partner — we treat your privacy as a core responsibility, not a compliance checkbox. Please read this policy carefully.

1. Who We Are

PairaBond is operated by Amplified Image LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), a company registered in the United States. PairaBond is a 52-week couples relationship coaching application designed to help partners grow together through structured, personalized content.

2. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • The PairaBond mobile application (iOS and Android)

  • Any associated web interfaces or portals

  • All data collected during onboarding, the couples assessment, and the 52-week coaching experience

  • Communications between you and PairaBond (e.g., support emails, push notifications)

This policy does not apply to third-party websites, services, or platforms that may be linked from within the app. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through PairaBond.

3. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the app, and information received from third-party services (such as your device operating system or payment processor).

3a. Information You Provide Directly

Account Information — Name, email address, password — Purpose: Creating and managing your account

Partner Information — Partner's name, email (for invite) — Purpose: Linking your couple account

Assessment Responses — Likert scale answers, multiple choice selections — Purpose: Generating your relationship profile and personalized curriculum

Open-Ended Responses — Free-text answers to 5 reflective prompts — Purpose: Personalizing weekly content and AI-generated coaching prompts

Relationship Profile Data — Love language, attachment style, conflict style flags — Purpose: Routing curriculum and generating weekly PDFs

Session Responses — Weekly individual and couples session answers — Purpose: Progress tracking and curriculum personalization

Support Communications — Emails or messages sent to support — Purpose: Resolving issues and improving the service

3b. Information Collected Automatically

  • Device information: device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers

  • Usage data: features accessed, screens viewed, session duration, button interactions

  • App performance data: crash reports, error logs, load times

  • Push notification interaction data: whether notifications are opened or dismissed

3c. Sensitive Relationship Data

PairaBond collects information about your relationship, emotional experiences, and personal history. This is inherently sensitive. We treat all relationship data with heightened care. It is never sold, never used for advertising, and never shared with employers, insurers, or government agencies.

Sensitive data we collect includes:

  • Responses about conflict, emotional vulnerability, and attachment history

  • Reflective answers about childhood experiences and family patterns

  • How you describe feeling loved, and what love means to you

  • Your relationship satisfaction levels and areas of growth

4. How We Use Your Information

Core App Functions

  • Create and maintain your individual and couple account

  • Generate your Relationship Profile and dimension scores from assessment responses

  • Personalize your 52-week curriculum based on your profile, including week routing and PDF content

  • Generate weekly individual and couples session prompts using your stored profile data

  • Track your progress and allow you to revisit past sessions

  • Deliver push notifications about your weekly content

Product Improvement

  • Analyze aggregate, anonymized usage patterns to improve curriculum quality and app experience

  • Identify and fix bugs, crashes, and performance issues

  • Develop new features based on how couples use the app over time

Communications

  • Send transactional messages: account confirmations, password resets, and billing receipts

  • Send product updates, new feature announcements, and curriculum additions (you may opt out)

  • Respond to your support inquiries

We do not use your relationship data to train external AI models without your explicit, separate consent. Open-ended responses used to generate personalized prompts are processed by our AI infrastructure as described in Section 7.

5. How We Share Your Information

5a. With Your Partner

PairaBond is designed as a shared couples experience. Some of your data is visible to your linked partner by design:

  • Your completed couples session responses (the content you submit to joint sessions)

  • Your Relationship Profile dimension scores

  • Your weekly progress and completed weeks

Your individual session responses — the private reflection content within each week — are visible only to you by default. You control whether to share these with your partner.

Your open-ended assessment responses (the 5 free-text prompts) are used only to personalize your experience and are NOT automatically shared with your partner.

5b. With Service Providers

We share data with trusted third-party vendors who help us operate PairaBond. These vendors are contractually required to protect your data, use it only for the purposes we specify, and comply with applicable privacy laws.

Cloud Hosting (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) — Encrypted user data, app infrastructure AI / Content Generation (e.g., Anthropic Claude API) — Profile fields and open-ended responses needed to generate personalized prompts Payment Processing (e.g., Stripe, Apple Pay, Google Pay) — Payment details (we do not store full card numbers) Analytics (e.g., Mixpanel, Amplitude) — Anonymized or pseudonymized usage events only — never relationship content Push Notifications (e.g., Firebase Cloud Messaging) — Device tokens and notification content

5c. What We Will Never Do

We will never sell your personal data or relationship data to any third party. We will never share your data with advertisers, data brokers, employers, health insurers, or government agencies — except when legally required.

6. Couple Account Structure & Partner Data

PairaBond is a shared experience. When you and your partner create a couple account, you agree to share certain data with each other.

Relationship Profile scores — Visible to partner — Core to the shared coaching experience Couples session responses — Visible to partner — Content submitted to joint sessions is shared by design Individual session responses — Private by default — User may choose to share Open-ended assessment responses — Never shared with partner — Used for AI personalization only Account / login credentials — Never shared — Credentials are always strictly private

If your couple account is dissolved or one partner removes themselves from the shared account, your individual data remains associated with your personal account. You will not lose your history or progress.

7. AI-Powered Personalization

PairaBond uses artificial intelligence to generate personalized coaching prompts, weekly session questions, and content tailored to your relationship profile.

What data is used for AI generation

  • Your dimension scores (Relationship Satisfaction, Communication Style, Attachment Style, Love Languages, Conflict Style)

  • Your stored profile fields: primary love language, attachment style, conflict style

  • Your open-ended assessment responses (the 5 free-text prompts)

  • Your current week number in the 52-week program

 

How AI processing works

When generating personalized content, relevant portions of your profile are sent to an AI language model API. This data is transmitted securely over encrypted connections. The AI model uses this context to generate your personalized weekly prompts and coaching content.

We use API-based AI services (not consumer products), which means your data is processed under enterprise data agreements — it is not used to train public AI models. We will update this section if our AI infrastructure changes.

What AI does not do

  • AI does not make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you

  • AI-generated content is relationship coaching material — not medical, psychological, or legal advice

  • No human at PairaBond reads your open-ended responses except to investigate a support issue with your permission

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period after deletion to allow for account recovery requests, legal compliance, and business continuity.

Account information — Duration of account + 90 days Assessment & session responses — Duration of account + 90 days Usage and analytics data — Up to 24 months (anonymized after 12 months) Billing records — 7 years (required for tax and financial compliance) Support communications — 3 years

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have various rights regarding your personal data. We honor these rights for all users regardless of jurisdiction.

Access — You may request a copy of all personal data we hold about you, including your assessment responses, profile data, and session history.

Correction — You may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data. You can update most information directly within the app settings.

Deletion — You may request that we delete your account and all associated personal data. We will fulfill deletion requests within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.

Data Portability — You may request a machine-readable copy of your personal data to transfer to another service.

Withdraw Consent — Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

Restrict Processing — You may request that we limit how we process your data in certain circumstances.

Object to Processing — You may object to processing based on our legitimate interests. We will honor this unless we have compelling grounds to continue.

Opt Out of Marketing — You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time via app settings or by contacting us directly.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@pairabond.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.

10. Security

We take the security of your data seriously, particularly given the sensitive nature of relationship information. Our security practices include:

  • Encryption in transit: all data transmitted between your device and our servers uses TLS 1.2 or higher

  • Encryption at rest: sensitive user data is encrypted in our databases

  • Access controls: only authorized personnel with a legitimate need can access user data, and access is logged

  • Password security: passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms — we do not store plaintext passwords

  • Third-party security assessments: we conduct periodic reviews of our infrastructure and vendor security

  • Incident response: we maintain a data breach response plan and will notify affected users as required by law

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately.

11. Children's Privacy

PairaBond is designed for adults in committed relationships. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If you are under 18, please do not use PairaBond or submit any personal information.

If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a person under 18 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that data promptly. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@pairabond.com.

12. State-Specific & International Privacy Rights

California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

  • Right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell (we do not sell personal information)

  • Right to delete personal information we hold about you

  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information

  • Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share for advertising purposes)

  • Right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

To exercise your California rights, contact us at support@pairabond.com or submit a request through the app's Settings > Privacy section. We will respond within 45 days.

European Residents (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, our lawful bases for processing your personal data are:

  • Contract performance: processing necessary to provide the PairaBond service you have signed up for

  • Consent: processing of open-ended responses and AI personalization (you may withdraw at any time)

  • Legitimate interests: usage analytics, product improvement, and security monitoring

  • Legal obligation: compliance with applicable laws and financial record-keeping

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We are committed to resolving all privacy concerns directly — please contact us first at support@pairabond.com.

Other Jurisdictions

We aim to honor privacy rights globally. If you are located outside the United States and have questions about how local laws apply to your data, please contact us at support@pairabond.com.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our practices evolve, legal requirements change, or we introduce new features. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy

  • Notify you via in-app notification and/or email at least 14 days before changes take effect

  • For significant changes that affect how we process your sensitive relationship data, we will request your renewed consent

Your continued use of PairaBond after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
